We had fun at Green Meadows Farm!

Friday was a beautiful sunny day at Green Meadows Farm. The children enjoyed seeing the animal displays including milking cows, a pig race, a sow and baby piglets, lamas, chickens, goats, sheep, cows, a mule, horses, lop-eared rabbits, peeps, ducks, geese, and turkeys.


Our children, parents, and staff enjoyed a hay ride and the pumpkin patch. Much fun was had by all.


A big thank you goes out to parents and staff who supported this farm life experience for the children.

Fall is here!

We are happy to report that "Back to School" night was a great success! Thank you, parents, children, friends, and staff who joined together to make this a good experience for everyone.

On Friday, October 2nd, we will be going to Green Meadow Farm in Jessup, Maryland, where our children will experience life on the farm. We will be reading farm stories and talking about life on the farm all week in preparation for our farm trip. At the farm, the children will see many farm animals and each child will select a pumpkin to take home. Thank you, parents, and friends, in advance, for all your support in this farm adventure.

School is closed due to snow storm.

My Village Learning Center is closed today due to snow conditions and following the lead of the Baltimore City School System. When Baltimore City Schools are closed, so are we. Have a good and safe day.

October News and Events

My Village Learning Center is excited about upcoming October events.

We celebrate our students' and parents' participation.

Pictures say a thousand words... Our students' photographs will be back by Friday, October 10th, 2008.

As you know the fall season approached us and we would like to welcome it with a trip to Weber's Farm. because we have a paid field trip scheduled this month, we've decided to make this trip completely optional, although we do hope our children and families can make it!

The Weber's Farm Trip is on Saturday, October 25th, 2008. We will meet at the farm between 10:00 am and 12:00 noon. http://www.webersfarm.com/hours.html The farm is located at 2526 Proctor Lane, Parkville, Maryland, 21234. The directions will be posted on the Parent Board or you can click on the link above. Please join us. The kids can go on hayrides, pick pumpkins, and pet farm animals. It will be a great learning experience and fun for all! The cost for admission is $7.00 for children and $5.00 for adults.

First Quarter Progress Reports will be issued on Thursday, October 30th, 2008. Our students are making good progress thus far this school year. We commend them and you for the smooth transition. They exude happiness.
